Alprazolam

Alprazolam, also known under the trade names Xanax and Niravam, is a short-acting drug of the benzodiazepine class used to treat moderate to severe anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and as an adjunctive treatment for anxiety associated with clinical depression.

    Frankie Anne Tester, a licensed clinical social worker of 27 years, was accused by the Department of Health of being sexually involved with a woman who came to her in 2005 for psychotherapy. The therapy ended in June 2006, according to a complaint filed by the department, but Tester and the patient carried on a relationship until March 2008.

Sylvia Delgado, a former public school board trustee, and Roberto Rael, a co-conspirator in the case, were sentenced Tuesday to 51 months and 24 months jail time respectively for their roles in the crime.
