Journal of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapies
Journal of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapies is published biannually (in March and September) in one volume per year by the International Institute for the Advanced Studies of Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health (International Institute). The journal, abstracted in PsycInfo and indexed by Thomson ISI/Web of Science-SSCI, is devoted to the advancement of the clinical theory and practice of cognitive and behavioral psychotherapies (CBT). The journal publishes original papers dealing with CBT (including hypnosis and hypnotherapy) and psychology, psychiatry, medical and mental specialities, and allied areas of science.
Submissions include
(1) articles referring to clinical and experimental studies and discussions of theory, for inclusion in the Articles Section,
(2) articles referring to clinical discussions/developments for inclusion in the Clinical Forum Section, and
(3) letters to the editor, reviews and abstracts of books, tapes, and films, salient findings in CBT, and other information relevant to the journal’s goal, for inclusion in the Developments and Resources Section. Finally, the journal seeks to publish special issues devoted to topics of particular interest, suggestions for which are welcomed by the Editor.
Abstracted in: Thomson ISI/Web of Science-Social Science Citation Index (SSCI); SCOPUS; PsycInfo; International Bibliography of Social Science (IBSS); CNCSIS (A); Full text in EBSCO and ProQuest. The Journal's abstracts are available online on this site (use "ordering" option in the menu to get them in publication order within each number of the Journal).
Publication policy:
Since 2001 to 2006, based on the limited circulation principle (see the APA standards of publication, the 5th edition) and respecting the ethical guidelines (e.g., avoiding copyright issues), we allowed the authors of the articles in the Journal to publish their articles in other high impact factor Journals (only in Web of Science) and/or in international books (only published by relevant international publishers), in order to increase articles visibility (e.g., Montgomery et al., 2003 was published from RJCBP in PAID, 2006); in this case, the authors were asked to send us a note about the republication so that we can mention this on Journal's website.
Starting with 2007, when the Journal was already indexed both by abstracts in Web of Science and full text in EBSCO/ProQuest, the limited circulation principle was not longer applied. Therefore, since 2007, the articles can be fully published in international books only as republication material (mentioning the Journal as the original source). Also, since 2007, we can accept the republication of an article in other Journals only in special conditions, justified by targeting a new audience (mentioning the Journal as the original source). All these constraints do not exlude the fair use of the published material and/or the use of the publications or parts of them in derivatives works (mentioning the Journal as the original source).
